Hi Matt Titus. 
We are looking into this aspect across all features. Splitting by build is used a lot.. We need to work out edge-cases where widgets cannot be split and act accordingly. 
In the meantime you can click to Zoom a widget and click "View in Explore" to then split by build. Or you can duplicate a dashboard and edit each widget to split by build. It's not optimal for now, but that should work.
